Hardware

Input Devices used: Keyboard; Light sensor; Temperature sensor.

Output Devices used: Servo Motor (1); RBG LED (1).

Mapping

“LEFT” & “RIGHT” keys on the keyboard control the Servo Motor to rotate. The mask in the Processing output stage is referring to the rotating angle of the motor.

RBG LED responds to the Temperature Sensor. Also the upper white arrow refers to the temperature sensor. It’s sliding above the color bar which visualizes the temperature change. (RBG LED is mapped to the light sensor at the moment for seeing easily.)

Data from Light Sensor changes the bottom white arrow. It’s moving horizontally above the bottom color bar which visualizes the sunlight change.

Output

Processing output stage:

The grey Arrows are symbols informing user to use LEFT and RIGHT KEY to control the pot.

The upper Color Bar relate to the temperature color bar on Yahoo Weather website.

The Color bar at the bottom refers to the sunlight change.

The white Arrows visualize the data from temperature and light sensors.

Motor output:

The transparent grey mask layer moves across the stage, because the motor is placed and rotated horizontally. The mask will show the status of internal layer, measure opening area between two layers.

LED output:

The changing color RGB LED is also relating to the temperature color bar on Yahoo Weather website.
